I just had my implant exchage. WOW! These new silicone implants are so comfortable! What a difference! They are soft and fit my body beautifully. All things consdiered I look lilke me, only better. My breasts are now fuller and more symetrical. Sure, I am still missing the areola and nipple, but that will come about 12 weeks.
As predicted, the 2nd surgery was much easier than the 1st. I was home that afternnoon, with very little pain, ealisy handled with Tylenol.
Helpful Hint: Please check with your Nurse or MD, about the deep breathing exercises and how to do them. Here is what I did: Take 3 deep breaths IN (hold) and OUT to assist your body in getting rid of the anestesia in your lungs. I did this every 30 minutes or so. By not doing this simple task and I develped a post anesthesia fever within 48 hours of surgery. I was quickly cured by my nurse advising me to do these simple breathing exercises. Whew! That was a scare.
One last hint, I was so excited about feeling SO good, my MD had to remind me that there were many internal stitches that I can not see and that I could easily tear if I did not heed his warning and TAKE IT EZ!
Again, Thank you Toby for all your guidance, you made the whole process much less scary.
