Hi…I take Arimidex. Interesting that you asked this. When
I went for my last eye exam, the Doctor told me that some
patients taking Arimidex do have eye problems. Glaucoma,
more frequent eye changes, etc.
So far….so good though:)

email response from our pharmacist member:
“Haven't heard of eye problems as a side effect, but it doesn't
mean it's not in the literature.”

Really good site for accurate info:
http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Therapy/tamoxifen
& now I will quote from the above site:
Does tamoxifen cause eye problems?
As women age, they are more likely to develop cataracts (clouding of the lens inside the eye). Women taking tamoxifen appear to be at increased risk for developing cataracts. Other eye problems, such as corneal scarring or retinal changes, have been reported in a few patients.

Mommy's Cancer My mom is 55 & developed cataracts and can barely see. Says she feels like she's looking through a long skinny tube. She has medicaid and becuz of her insurance they will only operate when she is close to blind. Eye problems? Oh yeah!
