This morning a previvor called me & asked me if I knew the answer to this really good question…
In the past-before her bilateral mastectomy, she, like other women, when she put on weight, noticed that it was going to her breasts.
She has now noticed that it is going to her belly—
Anyone else notice this same problem? Where is your fat going?
Any takers for this question?
Please post….thank you! As always, if you would like to post anonymously—just send me a private email.

“Belly
“Now that you asked the question I was always thin & I attributed my weight gain to the oophorectomy & surgical menopause & lack of exercise while going through all my treatments & recovery. I asked my doctor about my recent weight gain & I was told that everyone has their weight gain spot.”

I had a DIEP flap with tissue from my stomach replacing my breast tissue. I have gained weight in my thighs, and my breasts, but my stomach remains flat.
